HR Administrator
Location: Abingdon Oxfordshire, in the south of England
Working Pattern: Hybrid – 3 days per week on site (Tuesday to Thursday)
Contract Length: 9 months

This is a *Oxfordshire* Hybrid based role with an excellent immediate start within a Public Sector organisation working on *Supporting People operations and HR administration across the employee lifecycle*

We’re looking for an organised, proactive, and people-focused People Administrator to join a busy and collaborative People team supporting a dynamic and evolving organisation.

This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced HR/People professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment and enjoys delivering high-quality support across the full employee life cycle. You’ll play a key role in ensuring smooth day-to-day People operations while contributing to exciting projects and initiatives that enhance the employee experience.

The Role

As a People Administrator, you’ll provide comprehensive administrative and operational support to the wider People function. You’ll become a trusted point of coordination within the team, helping to ensure People processes run efficiently and employees receive a professional and positive experience.

You’ll be involved in a broad range of activities including:

  • Supporting People operations and HR administration across the employee life cycle
  • Managing and resolving HR transactional queries
  • Assisting with recruitment coordination and onboarding activities
  • Maintaining accurate employee records and ensuring GDPR compliance
  • Supporting People-related projects and process improvements
  • Gathering and presenting data insights, trends, and reports
  • Building strong working relationships with stakeholders across the organisation
  • Delivering excellent customer service and communication at all levels

About You

We’re looking for someone who is adaptable, detail-oriented, and confident working in a constantly evolving environment. You’ll be highly organised, systems-savvy, and comfortable managing multiple priorities simultaneously.

Essential Skills & Experience

  • Previous experience in an HR Administration or HR Operations role
  • Strong organisational and time management skills
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite including SharePoint, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion and professionalism
  • A proactive, hands-on approach with the ability to work through ambiguity
  • Strong stakeholder management and relationship-building skills
  • Experience supporting projects and coordinating administrative activities
