Our client, a well-established and growing manufacturing business based in Cardiff, is currently seeking an experienced Production Engineer to join their engineering team.

This is an excellent opportunity for a hands-on engineer with a strong manufacturing background to play a key role in improving production efficiency, supporting new product introduction, and driving continuous improvement initiatives across the site.

Key Responsibilities

• Support and improve day-to-day manufacturing operations
• Identify and resolve production and process issues
• Drive continuous improvement and lean manufacturing activities
• Develop and maintain manufacturing documentation and work instructions
• Support new product introduction (NPI) into production
• Work closely with quality, design, and operations teams
• Analyse production data to improve efficiency and reduce downtime
• Ensure compliance with quality and health & safety standards

Candidate Requirements

• Previous experience in a Production Engineer, Manufacturing Engineer, or similar role
• Strong understanding of manufacturing and production processes
• Experience within a fast-paced engineering or manufacturing environment
• Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing and continuous improvement techniques
• Excellent problem-solving and communication skills
• Ability to interpret engineering drawings and technical documentation
• Engineering qualification (HNC/HND/Degree) preferred

Desirable Experience

• Precision engineering, aerospace, electronics, or related industry background
• Experience with ERP/MRP systems
• Knowledge of root cause analysis and process validation
