This role will focus on the commissioning, start-up and optimisation of advanced biomethane upgrading and CO2 liquefaction systems across global projects.This is a fantastic opportunity to work on cutting-edge membrane upgrading technology and NH3 refrigeration systems, supporting the delivery of highly advanced process installations worldwide.
As a Commissioning Engineer, you will be responsible for:Carrying out commissioning and start-up activities on renewable gas installations globallyPerforming cold and hot commissioning, including system verification and readiness checksStarting up and optimising biomethane upgrading and CO2 liquefaction systemsSupporting the performance optimisation of NH3 refrigeration processesExecuting functional testing and site acceptance (SAT) proceduresAnalysing process performance, trends and operational data to improve plant efficiencyTroubleshooting process, mechanical, electrical and automation-related issuesSupporting PLC/HMI commissioning, alarms analysis and control systems diagnosticsAssisting with instrumentation calibration and verificationDelivering operator training and supporting customer handoversProviding on-site technical support during initial operational phasesOther duties as requiredTo be considered for this role, you should have:A qualification in process, mechanical, refrigeration, automation or chemical engineering (or equivalent experience)Minimum 5 years’ commissioning experience within industrial/process environmentsStrong experience with industrial refrigeration systems, ideally NH3Solid understanding of process engineering and system optimisationProven ability to troubleshoot PLC/HMI and automation systemsExperience working with compressors, refrigeration cycles and process systemsAbility to read and interpret P&IDs, electrical drawings and technical documentationHighly desirable:Siemens S7 / TIA Portal knowledgeF-Gas, NH3, ATEX or similar certificationsThe xwzovoh ideal candidate will have:Strong analytical and troubleshooting skillsA structured and solution-focused approachExcellent communication and customer-facing abilitiesThe ability to remain calm under pressureA flexible approach with willingness to travel internationally (50–80%)The offer:Competitive basic salary (depending on experience)Excellent travel allowances and international project exposureOpportunity to work on advanced renewable gas technologiesStrong career development within a growing international organisationCompany benefits package including pension and holidaysTo apply:If you are interested in this opportunity, please apply via the link below or contactMachaela at MC Technical Recruitment on or for a confidential chat….
