The role would suit an experienced payroll professional from an accountancy practice or payroll bureau environment who enjoys managing client relationships, overseeing end-to-end payroll operations, and maintaining high compliance standards.Youll have autonomy to manage the bureau efficiently while contributing ideas to improve processes and client service.Experience within an accountancy practice or payroll bureau is essential.The RoleYoull oversee a varied client payroll portfolio including weekly, four-weekly, monthly and director-only payrolls, ensuring accuracy, compliance and excellent client service throughout.Key responsibilities include:Managing end-to-end payroll processing across multiple client payrollsProcessing SSP, SMP, SPP and other statutory paymentsCompleting RTI submissions and ensuring HMRC complianceManaging PAYE, National Insurance and pension auto-enrolment obligationsHandling payroll year-end procedures including P60s and P11DsManaging workplace pension submissions and reconciliationsActing as the main point of contact for payroll queries from clients and employeesSupporting clients with payroll legislation and compliance guidanceMaintaining accurate payroll records and employee dataIdentifying opportunities to improve payroll processes and efficienciesAbout YouWere looking for a confident and organised payroll professional who can manage multiple deadlines while maintaining excellent attention to detail. xwzovoh You will ideally have:Previous experience in a Payroll Manager or Senior Payroll position within an accountancy practice or payroll bureauStrong technical knowledge of UK payroll legislation, PAYE, pensions and statutory paymentsExperience managing multiple payrolls with varying pay frequenciesStrong payroll systems knowledge and confidence using payroll softwareExcellent communication and client relationship skillsThe ability to work independently and prioritise workloads effectivelyWhats On Offer£40,000 £50,000 depending on experience25 days holiday plus bank holidaysHybrid working available following probationFlexible working patternFree on-site parkingWorkplace pensionEmployee benefits portalOngoing professional development and trainingThis is an excellent opportunity to join a stable and respected independent practice where payroll is a valued service line and client relationships are long established….
