Abouttherole Themainpurposeofthejob ToassistinprovidingtimelyestatesandvaluationadviceandservicesinthemanagementanddevelopmentoftheCouncilsestate.

Toensureanefficientandeffectivecorporateestatethatmakesbestuseofandextractsoptimumvaluefromtheassets.

Toassistinensuringthatallinternalcontrolsystemsareeffective,efficientanduptodateincludingtheassetdatabasesandregisters,AssetManagementPlan,GISsystemsandpropertymanagementsoftware.

Maincontacts Councillors,officers,tenants,contractors,publicandprivatesectorbodies,charitableorganisations,statutoryauthorities,utilitiescompaniesandmembersofthepublic.

Themainpurposeoftherole: ToassistwithreportingverballyandinwritingfortheHeadofService,DeputyChiefExecutiveandStrategicDirector,CorporateBoardsandGroupsandadvisingCouncillors.

ToadheretotheprinciplesandpracticesestablishedwithinCouncilflagshipactivitiesandstrategiesincludingtheAssetManagementPlan,EqualityandDiversity,RiskManagement,BusinessContinuityandDisasterRecoveryandcapitalprojects.

Ensurethatallinternalcontrolandsoftwaresystemsareuptodateandworkingeffectivelyandefficiently.

Ensurethatallworks,servicesandsuppliesareprocuredinaccordancewithprocurementguidelines,policiesandstatutoryrequirements.

EnsuredemonstrablevalueformoneyintheprocurementandmanagementofallrequisiteelementspertainingtotheCouncilsestate.

InconsultationwiththeHeadofServiceandEstatesandPropertyPortfolioManageridentifyopportunitiesforinvestment,valueformoneyandserviceimprovements.

TocontributetotheformulationofCouncilpolicy,particularlyinrelationtotheCouncilsestateandvaluationsservices.

Toparticipateincorporate,professionalandstakeholderworkinggroupsasrequired.

AttendcommitteeandothermeetingsfromtimetotimeasrequiredbytheHeadofServiceand/orEstatesandPropertyManager.

ActivelypromoteandmarkettheservicesoftheAMPSteamandtheCouncilsothattheyareperceivedinapositivewaybyallstakeholdersandpartners.

TomanageandmonitortheAMPSteamsbudgetandrecommendactionwherespendingorincomeisnotinline.

Attendeveningmeetingsandsuchoutofhoursmeetingsasmaybenecessarytofulfiltherequirementsofthepost.

ToassistwithperformanceandbenchmarkinformationtodemonstrateValueforMoneyfortheservicesprovidedasandwhenrequired.

Specificdutiesandresponsibilities Toassistwiththepreparationandsubmissionofdocuments,papersandevidencetotribunals,Courtorotherstatutoryorquasi-statutorybodiesonbehalfoftheCouncil.

TodeputiseforthePropertyPortfolioManagerintheirabsenceinrelationtotheresponsibilitiesoftheEstatesTeamand,ifnecessarytheBuildingServicesTeam.

Tobeproficientintheuseofsoftwareforassetandestatemanagementpurposes,includingmaintaininganuptodateAssetManagementPlan,AssetRegisterandestatesdatabases.

Tobecustomerfocusedtomeetcurrentandfuturecustomerneeds,assistingasrequiredwithbenchmarkingexercisesandwithservice,userandstakeholderconsultations.

Establishandmaintaineffectiveandpositiveworkingrelationshipswithallrelevantinternalandexternalclients,colleagues,keypartners,tenantsandstakeholders.

Promoteeffectiveserviceallianceswithotherpartners,serviceprovidersandstakeholderssoastoimprovetheefficiencyandeffectivenessoftheTeamsServices.

SupporttheAMPSteamoutofhoursdutyrole,includingevenings,weekendsandpublicholidays.

ToappointandmanageexternalconsultantswhenappropriateandasdirectedbytheHeadofServiceand/orPropertyPortfolioManager.

Toassistandsupportwithleading,managinganddevelopingthestaffwithintheEstatesTeamandthePropertyAdministrationteam Personalandsensitivedata YouwillhaveregardforthedutyofcareowedtopersonaldataandsensitivepersonaldataandanyotherconfidentialorsensitiveinformationwhichyouaccessinthecourseofyouremploymentensuringadherencetotheDataProtectionActandtheCouncilsInformationSecurityPolicyandrelatedguidance.

Talentdevelopment Wehaveatalentdevelopmentprogrammethatincludesregularone-to-ones,mid-yearreviews,endofyearperformancereviewsandastrongandvariedlearninganddevelopmentprogramme.

Youwillbeexpectedtogetinvolvedinthistalentprogrammetoensureyouareperformingatthehighestlevel.
