You must hold a UK Driving Licence and have access to a car, as the role involves traveling up to 20 miles. The position requires 12‑hour shifts and rotational weekends.
Responsibilities
- Deliver warm, empathetic and respectful care to residents across a 20‑mile radius.
- Monitor the delivery of care when on duty, contributing to person‑centred care planning.
- Record health observations such as temperature and blood pressure.
- Provide support and companionship, ensuring meaningful one‑to‑one time with every resident each shift.
- Travel between care homes as required, covering mileage over five miles from main home.
Qualifications
- Valid UK Driving Licence and access to a car.
- Level 2 NVQ in Health & Social Care (essential); progression to NVQ 3 (desired).
- Good understanding of elderly care and the wider healthcare industry.
- GCSE English and Maths grade C or above (desirable).
