The Opportunity
Flame Health Pharmacy is currently recruiting for an Independent Prescribing Pharmacist to join a modern and clinically focused Pharmacy operation based in Nottingham.
This is an exciting opportunity for a qualified Independent Prescriber seeking a role that combines direct patient care, prescribing autonomy, and operational leadership within a progressive healthcare setting.
This is not a traditional retail Pharmacy role. There is no walk‑in counter environment, allowing greater focus on structured clinical care, safe dispensing processes, and service development.
The Role
This hybrid position offers a varied workload across both clinical and operational responsibilities.
Clinical Responsibilities
- Online consultations and remote patient assessments
- Video consultations where clinically appropriate
- Private prescribing services
- Weight management and GLP-1 prescribing pathways
- Acute condition management
- Ongoing treatment reviews
- NHS clinical services
This role offers genuine day‑to‑day use of your prescribing qualification with strong scope for progression.
Operational Responsibilities
- Act as Responsible Pharmacist
- Clinical and legal checking of prescriptions
- Supervise dispensary workflow and team activity
- Maintain governance standards and SOP compliance
- Support safe, efficient service delivery

Candidate Requirements
- GPhC registration as a Pharmacist
- Independent Prescriber qualification
- Strong IT skills and confidence using digital systems
- Ability to work on‑site in Nottingham
- Confidence across both clinical and operational duties
- Strong communication and organisational skills
- Interest in progressive Pharmacy models and service innovation
