Job Title: Senior Children’s Support Worker

Salary: £31,000 or £15.85 per hour (plus potential overtime)

Full time: 5 days per week, including weekends, 37.5 hours per week.

Requirements

• Must be at least 21 years old
• Relevant experience working in a supportive role
• Willing to undertake personal care
• Confident working with challenging behaviour
• A genuine interest in childcare
• 1 year’s experience as a Senior/Team Leader – duties including shift leading, medication, staff supervision

Desirable

• Level 3 Residential Childcare Diploma
• Experience in specialist care for children with autism, learning disabilities, or complex backgrounds

Responsibilities

• Supporting with team leadership
• Carrying out risk assessments and updating care plans
• Administering medication
• Providing quality and consistent care to help meet social, emotional, and behavioural needs
• Supporting young people to do their favourite things and to try new activities
• Promoting child safety and welfare and working with relevant stakeholders to do the same
