Job Overview
The ME/CFS Service is a therapy‑based service dedicated to supporting individuals with a diagnosis of myalgic encephalomyelitis/chronic fatigue syndrome. The role requires a full‑time Occupational Therapist to join an interdisciplinary team delivering assessments, treatment plans and group interventions at the Newsam Centre.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive assessments of physical and mental health issues for patients.
- Deliver evidence‑based interventions including activity and fatigue management.
- Provide one‑to‑one therapy and support patients in a face‑to‑face and remote setting.
- Facilitate modular group programmes and contribute to service development.
- Assist with referral screening, duty roster and support clinical governance.
Qualifications & Experience
- Registered Occupational Therapist with a recognised professional qualification.
- Experience managing an independent caseload or autonomous work.
- Knowledge of psychosocial interventions and risk assessment.
- Understanding of how physical illnesses impact individuals.
