Care Assistant – Nights

Avery Healthcare is seeking a warm, enthusiastic, and dedicated Care Assistant for night shifts at Southbourne Beach Care Home in Bournemouth.

Responsibilities

• Deliver high standards of personal care and support residents’ independence and dignity.
• Assist residents in all personal hygiene care.
• Recognise and understand clinical risk areas (e.g., weight loss, pressure sores, risk of falls, signs of infections) and report risks promptly.
• Act courteously towards residents and visitors, respecting dignity and individuality.
• Practice safe systems of work across various tasks.

About the Role

Experience is not required; comprehensive induction and training will be provided.

• Effective verbal and written communication skills.
• Initiative and respectful attitude towards residents and colleagues.
• Efficient working style, able to follow reasonable instructions from team members.
• Adaptable and flexible to cover a range of responsibilities at short notice.

• DBS Disclosure check (cost covered by Avery Healthcare).
• Proof of eligibility to work in the UK.
