Job Description

The Role: Provide compassionate, round‑the‑clock care to an elderly gentleman living in the beautiful Somerset countryside on a 40‑acre property. You’ll offer personal care, companionship, medication reminders, cooking assistance, housekeeping, and emotional support. You’ll also help care for a beloved elderly terrier.

• A valid Category B driving license is a genuine occupational requirement for this role due to the need to travel between remote sites where public transport is unavailable.
• DBS on the Update Service
• You have the right to work in the UK
• Level 4 English and IT literate
• Dementia experience (including sundowning would be advantageous)
• Minimum of 3 years’ experience of providing care for the elderly in their own home
• Male carer as this is a Genuine Occupational Requirement (GOR) under Schedule 9 of the Equality Act 2010, due to the nature of the intimate support services provided to female service users
• A desire to genuinely help other people and make a difference
• Resilient, reliable, proactive with a can‑do attitude
