We are seeking a part‑time Occupational Therapist to join the Cancer Wellbeing Service, providing support, guidance and care to people affected by cancer.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide specialist OT support, advice and education on cancer wellbeing issues, including one‑to‑one and group sessions.
  • Use CBT/ACT/OT skills, counselling skills, motivational interviewing, active listening, CBTi for insomnia, vocational rehabilitation and report writing.
  • Assess emotional side effects of cancer, including low mood, anxiety and suicidal intent, and devise support plans that protect individuals and meet goals.
  • Develop evidence‑based support materials, courses and education sessions using OT professional knowledge.
  • Provide client sessions on sleep, fatigue, brain fog/cognition, anxiety, low mood and work‑related issues.
  • Prioritise colleagues identified as at risk through the Trust’s redeployment process.
