What You Will Be Doing

As a Care Assistant, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality personal care and support to our Pensioners. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Providing the highest possible levels of care by supporting and assisting Pensioners with all aspects of daily living.
  • Engaging Pensioners in social activities and helping maintain a cheerful, welcoming environment
  • Monitoring wellbeing and reporting concerns to senior staff
  • Maintaining accurate care records and ensuring a clean, safe environment

You’ll work under the supervision of a Senior Care Assistant and be part of a team that truly values respect, integrity, and excellence.

What We’re Looking For

  • A genuine interest in working with older people
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • Basic computer literacy and good written documentation skills
  • Ability to work under pressure and prioritise tasksUnderstanding of good care principles and the rights of older people
  • Willingness to work toward the Care Certificate or equivalent

Important Information

Right to work in the UK is essential – unfortunately, the Royal Hospital Chelsea does not hold a sponsorship licence.

This is a permanent, full-time post with 12-hour shifts. You will need to be flexible and able to work days, nights and weekends, with shifts scheduled on a rota basis.
