Aspire Foundation is looking for compassionate, motivated Community Family Workers to join our Family Support team. You’ll play a key role in helping children aged 0–11 and their families get the best possible start in life by delivering high‑quality, targeted support across Cheltenham and Tewkesbury.
In this role, you’ll work directly with families through home visits, group programmes, and community outreach. You’ll help parents strengthen their skills, overcome challenges, and improve family wellbeing. You’ll also collaborate with local partners including schools, health services, and voluntary organisations to ensure families receive the right support at the right time.
What you’ll do:
- Deliver targeted family support and universal services for families with children aged 0–11
- Plan, deliver, and evaluate group work for parents, children, or both
- Carry out home visits, assessments, and My Plans to identify needs and interventions
- Work as part of a multi‑agency team to safeguard children and support families facing complex issues
- Build strong relationships with partner agencies to enhance support pathways
- Maintain accurate records and uphold Aspire’s values of Respect, Integrity, Collaboration, and Excellence
What we’re looking for:
- Experience working with children and families
- Strong communication, organisational, and interpersonal skills
- Ability to deliver group work and one‑to‑one support
- Understanding of safeguarding, child development, and family support approaches
- A flexible, proactive, child‑centred mindset
- Level 2 qualification (minimum) in childcare, education, health, or social care, with willingness to work toward Level 3
- Full driving licence with business insurance
- Hours: 37 hours per week
- Contract: Permanent, all year round
- Requirements: Enhanced DBS, occasional evening/weekend work, ability to travel across localities
