Health Care Assistant

Overview

We are seeking a compassionate Care Worker to provide essential support to elderly individuals living with dementia in need of care. The role involves assisting with daily activities and ensuring the well‑being of service users in Care Home settings.

Duties

• Provide personal care to service users in nursing home.
• Assist with meal preparation and feeding.
• Perform service user care duties including bathing, dressing, and toileting.
• Support individuals with mobility and heavy lifting when necessary.
• Offer emotional support and companionship to service users.
• Maintain a clean and organised living environment for service user.
• Take part in activities, escorting residents to appointments, dealing with personal care and assisting with other daily activities.

Experience

• Experience in nursing home or care home settings.
• Proficiency in resident care and senior care practices.
• Provide first aid when needed.

Required Skills

• Previous experience of working in a dementia environment.
• NVQ or QCF Level 2.
