Job Description:

Responsibilities

  • Supporting and enabling Service Users to maintain skills and personal interests while delivering person‑centred care unique to the Service User.
  • Maintaining current skill level, undertaking training and development as required.
  • Visiting clients in their own homes to provide care and support.
  • Ensuring Service Users are at the heart of care delivery and that their wishes and preferences enhance their well‑being.
  • Supporting Service Users with all aspects of their day‑to‑day living, enabling them to enjoy the best possible quality of life.
  • Completing duties with care and diligence, operating under strict integrity at all times.
  • Following Care Plans and other information about how to support Service Users.
  • Informing the Care Coordinator and Manager of any changes in the needs of Service Users.
  • Upholding the values and goals of the business in all activities, ensuring maximum compliance with internal and statutory policies relating to the role.
  • Developing effective working relationships with other employees.
  • Cooperating with members of the multidisciplinary team to maximise opportunities for all people.
  • Administering medication and diabetes care (blood glucose monitoring and insulin administration).
  • Providing Service Users with support/assistance as they accomplish daily tasks including catheter care, stoma care, bathing, eating, dressing, grooming and using the bathroom, as dictated in their care plan.
  • Managing behaviour, manual handling, and using hoists as required.
  • Communicating any problems, concerns or changes to Service Users’ family members as needed.

  • Attending all statutory training and any other training as directed by management.
  • Compliance and understanding of all policies and procedures relevant to the role.

Qualifications and Educational Skills

  • RQF in Social Care.
  • Good written and verbal skills.
  • Previous experience working in domiciliary care.
  • Previous experience working in a similar role.
  • Experience working with Service Users, particularly those with complex needs.
  • Up‑to‑date mandatory training (training can be provided).
  • DBS update service.
  • Full UK driving licence.
  • Be a driver and have a car.

Job Types

Full‑time, Part‑time, flexible hours.

Pay

£12.21 per hour.
