Role Overview
This role is part of the pulmonary function and sleep apnoea service in Plymouth, South West England. The incumbent will develop and apply diagnostic skills and support patients with sleep apnoea treatment using CPAP technology.
Responsibilities
- Perform full pulmonary function tests, field exercise testing, provocation testing, FeNO measurements, reversibility studies, and sleep studies.
- Initiate CPAP therapy and monitor patients remotely.
- Support the manager with service development and educational commitments.
- Participate in clinical audit processes.
- Carry out blood gas sampling where required.
- Assist junior staff in their clinical duties.
- Integrate with the team and support service provision at UHP.
Eligibility & Preference
Preference will be given to internal Trust staff, as well as ‘Priority’ and ‘At Risk’ status including NHS At Risk staff throughout Devon who have recent relevant experience as dictated by the Person Specification.
