Ocean Healthcare are looking for an experienced Healthcare Assistant to support a young boy with cerebral palsy, epilepsy, and displaced hips. Mornings and evenings available.

Ocean Healthcare are looking for an experienced Healthcare Assistant to support a young boy with cerebral palsy, epilepsy, and displaced hips. He is Gastrostomy fed, requires oral suction, medication, and personal care. He is non‑verbal and non‑mobile.

This young boy likes being entertained with lights, music, and a noisy busy environment. He loves being with people and dislikes being alone or in quiet times. When he’s at school he enjoys swimming.

You will be working 2:1.

The ideal candidate would be a resilient, seasoned carer with a solid understanding of personal care, and experience with moving and handling. Experience with epilepsy, cerebral palsy, gastro feeding, medication and oral suction is required.

Pay Rates & Shifts:

Training & Support

You’ll be fully prepared for your role with face‑to‑face training delivered by our nurse‑led team and specialist trainers. Training is tailored to the individual(s) you’ll be supporting, so you feel confident, supported and clinically safe from day one.

Ongoing support and development are part of how we work – you’re never left to figure things out on your own.

It’s vital that we have staff consistency and so you will be required to pick up a minimum number of shifts. You will be able to pick up more shifts each week if you would like to. Weekday shifts and weekend shifts are available. Flexibility would be appreciated, but we are willing to consider your personal circumstances if there are days/times you are unable to work.

What You’ll Need:

At least 1 year of UK experience as a Healthcare Assistant or Support Worker.

Two UK work references (at least one must be care‑related).

Reliability and Good Communication.

Right to work in the UK.
