Role Overview
A fantastic opportunity has recently arisen within the Bristol Urological Institute as we are advertising for a Patient Pathway Assistant working 37.5 hours a week to join our busy Urology department.
Responsibilities
- Support all administrative aspects of the patient pathway in line with 18‑week referral to treatment guidelines and cancer pathways.
- Assist the Patient Pathway Coordinator in managing the inpatient and day case waiting lists for Consultant Urologists operating at Southmead Hospital.
- Coordinate admissions and associated pre‑operative clinics and theatre lists.
- Work closely with the Consultant Team and Patient Pathway Coordinator, deputising for them as required.
- Collaborate with colleagues, staff in other departments, GPs, patients and the general public to ensure effective high‑quality service delivery.
Qualifications
- Calm, logical, organised and methodical working style.
- Ability to multi‑task in a busy environment with complex patient pathways.
- Strong attention to detail and work ethic.
- Knowledge of RTT and cancer pathways is extremely beneficial.
