Ferniehill Surgery – 4 – 8 session GP

Ferniehill Surgery is looking for a GP to join our patient‑focused and friendly team for a 4–8 session contract starting July/August 2026.

About the Practice

Our clinic serves 7020 patients and is an EMIS practice moving to Vision + in early 2027. We provide primary care services with a focus on teamwork and supporting new graduates. We currently have 4 partners, 4 salaried GPs, a GP registrar (GPST3), 2 practice nurses, 2 mental health nurses, community pharmacists, a physiotherapist, a practice manager, 2 phlebotomists, and a 10‑member admin team.

Responsibilities

• Provide 4–8 session GP care, including 10 face‑to‑face/telephone appointments, medication review calls, discuss‑results calls and home visits.
• Support duty doctor coverage shared on a pro‑rata basis. Duty doctor is supported in the afternoon by another GP.
• Engage with teaching responsibilities for a GP registrar and support fourth‑year medical students.

Requirements

Experience as a GP, ability to work clinical hours for 4–8 sessions and support training. Salary depends on experience.
