Responsibilities
Support the Pharmacy Cancer Team with the provision of chemotherapy and supplementary medicines to patients.
Rotate duties between the chemotherapy dispensary and aseptic services.
Dispense cytotoxic drugs and supportive medicines, including clinical trial medication.
Provide aseptically dispensed items: assemble ingredients and consumables, sanitation of equipment and materials, and processing of products.
Participate in the cleaning schedule for clean rooms, support areas and equipment, following defined standard operating procedures.
Undertake required assessment, validations and broth tests in accordance with departmental policy.
Work during evenings, weekends and bank holidays.
Qualifications
Level 2 GPHC recognised qualification relevant to the role.
Reliable and conscientious individual with willingness to undertake full training and development to fulfil specialist duties.
