The Position
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic and motivated Qualified Dental Nurse to join the Public Dental Service. We are looking for a Dental Nurse who is forward‑thinking and ambitious to join our busy team.
The post holder will be expected to carry out all duties of a Qualified Dental Nurse, e.g. provide high quality patient care and maintain the efficient running of the dental surgeries across both of our sites at The Balfour and Garson Dental.
The Candidate
You must be able to work as part of a team and under your own initiative as well as coping under pressure. Organisational skills are essential. Candidates will have a high standard of communication skills and enjoy working with the public.
Applicants must have relevant clinical experience as a Dental Nurse with an NEBDN qualification or SVQ Level 3 in Dental Nursing, full registration with the GDC and up‑to‑date CPD.
Location, Working Pattern and Contract Duration
This post is based at Garson Dental Clinic and will also be required to work at The Balfour.
The successful candidate will work Full Time 36 hours per week; candidates wishing to work part‑time hours will be considered. The post is Permanent.
It is a condition of employment that you must live and remain a resident within the UK for the post in which you will be employed with NHS Orkney.
Benefits and Salary
The salary for this post is Band 4 £31 537 – £34 303. If residing on Orkney, you’ll also receive a Distant Islands Allowance of £1 719 pro rata per annum.
