Overview
As a Fellow in Medical Education at Maudsley Learning, you will join a multi‑professional team providing a high performing and fast paced yet supportive environment in which you would be supported to develop professionally while contributing actively to the goals and mission of Maudsley Learning. You will learn how to design, develop, deliver, market, assess and research around simulation‑based education and other trainings developed by Maudsley Learning and gain an unrivalled educational experience. This is a fixed‑term 12 months full‑time post for a Fellow in Medical Education, designed for a Specialty Trainee (years 4-5) in psychiatry to undertake as an Out‑of‑Programme Experience (OOPE) from their training rotation.
The post holder will contribute to the ongoing development and delivery of mental health simulation‑based education (SBE) and other training courses at Maudsley Learning. As part of this remit the successful post‑holder will ensure the ongoing high‑quality design, development and delivery of these trainings, help lead the rollout and ongoing assessment of our evolving programme of multidisciplinary courses and develop innovations to support clinical education and workplace practice.
Duties
- Design, develop and deliver a series of simulation‑based‑education and other mental health training programmes and courses in collaboration with a range of stakeholders, including commissioners.
- Evaluate the impact of courses and training programmes delivered, including presentation of results at relevant conferences and submission for publication.
- Contribute to the writing of bids and reports of completed training projects.
- Contribute to the development of the simulation team, attending relevant meetings and events.
- Contribute to the project management of courses and programmes.
