This exciting fellowship post provides you with a one-year secondment opportunity to work across the Chief Pharmaceutical Officers Office (NHS England) and the General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC).
About the GPhC
We are a respected regulatory body that regulates pharmacists, pharmacy technicians and pharmacies in Great Britain. Responsibilities
- Develop and implement a national pharmacy technician fellowship project with an emphasis on patient safety, professional practice and regulatory standards.
- Provide professional leadership and advice on where pharmacy technicians can add value to national healthcare priorities.
- Translate governance and the role of pharmacy technicians into effective delivery of key priorities.
- Collaborate with the NHSE and GPhC teams, build professional networks, and participate in a national leadership programme.
- Travel to NHS England’s office in Waterloo and the General Pharmaceutical Council’s office in Canary Wharf as required.
- Participate in policy development, project management, research and analysis, communications and collaboration activities.
Qualifications
- Experience in pharmacy settings, with an understanding of pharmacy technician roles and governance.
- Strong strategic leadership and management skills, with experience in policy development and project management.
- Excellent communication, research and analysis abilities.
- Ability to work flexibly in both remote and onsite environments.
- Commitment to patient safety and professional practice.
Employment Details
One-year secondment, expected start 1 July 2026. Hybrid working arrangements will be discussed at interview.
