The OpportunityA premium countryside resort in North Devon is looking for an ambitious Deputy Food & Beverage Manager to support the leadership of a growing multi-outlet operation. This is an excellent opportunity for a hospitality professional who enjoys being involved in all aspects of food and beverage operations whilst developing their management and commercial experience within a quality-driven resort environment. The food and beverage operation sits at the heart of the guest experience, encompassing restaurants, bars, weddings, events and wider resort hospitality. Staff retention is strong, managers are encouraged to contribute ideas and there is a real commitment to work-life balance and team wellbeing.The RoleWorking closely with the Food & Beverage Manager, you will play a key role in leading teams, supporting commercial performance and maintaining consistently high operational standards across the resort. This is a highly visible and hands-on role requiring strong leadership skills, operational confidence and the ability to motivate and develop teams within a fast-paced hospitality environment.Responsibilities will include: Supporting the day-to-day management of restaurants, bars, weddings and eventsLeading, motivating and developing Food & Beverage teamsAssisting with recruitment, onboarding and trainingDriving guest satisfaction and maintaining exceptional service standardsSupporting labour control, stock management and profitability targetsIdentifying opportunities to increase revenue and improve performanceLeading pre-shift briefings and communicating operational prioritiesSupporting service improvements and operational initiativesEnsuring compliance with food safety, licensing and health & safety standardsWorking closely with kitchen, events and wider resort teams to deliver a seamless guest experience
