Your Responsibilities as a Complex Care Worker

In this vital health and social care role, you will be responsible for providing sophisticated clinical care and daily support. Your key duties will include:

Responsibilities

  • Delivering high-quality complex clinical care, including:
    • PEG Feeding and management
    • Tracheostomy Care
  • Ventilator and BiPAP Management
  • Spinal Injury Support
  • Cough Assist and Oxygen Therapy
  • Supporting clients with daily living skills to promote independence and well-being
  • Maintaining accurate digital care plans, risk assessments, and incident reports
  • Working collaboratively with families, carers, and multi-disciplinary teams (MDTs) to ensure consistent, safe and effective care

Essential Requirements for this Care Job

To be successful in this support worker role, you will need:

  • A minimum of 12 months’ experience in a Complex Care role (with adults or children)
  • Proven competency in clinical skills such as tracheostomy care, PEG feeding, and ventilator management
  • Confidence in using digital care planning systems
  • Excellent communication skills and a calm, resilient and professional attitude
  • A valid UK driving licence and access to your own vehicle
  • Eligibility to work in the UK

Desirable Qualifications

  • NVQ/QCF Level 3 in Health and Social Care (Adults or Children)
  • Current First Aid training
