Occupational Therapist – Assistive Technology Home Installations
Location: South East London (Field-Based / Fully Remote Working)
Working Pattern: 4 Days Per Week
About the Role
- We are currently seeking a practical, reliable and compassionate Occupational Therapist to support with assistive technology home installations across South East London.
- This is a field-based role where you will travel to customers’ homes to install, set up and occasionally remove home monitoring and assistive technology equipment, ensuring all systems are functioning safely and effectively.
- Our customers are often older or vulnerable individuals, so this role requires far more than technical ability. We are looking for someone with patience, empathy and a calm, reassuring manner who can confidently explain technology in a clear and supportive way.

Key Responsibilities
- Install assistive technology and home monitoring equipment safely and efficiently in customers’ homes
- Test all hardware and software before leaving site
- Troubleshoot basic setup, connectivity and installation issues
- Configure mobile applications on iOS and Android devices for customers and family members
- Pair and provision IoT and connected devices
- Carry out safe mounting and minor drilling/modifications where required
- Remove, replace or upgrade equipment as needed
- Maintain accurate installation notes and customer records using HubSpot CRM
- Report incidents promptly and in line with company procedures
- Manage and organise your daily installation schedule independently
- Maintain installation stock, tools and equipment
- Share customer feedback and insights with the wider team
- Deliver a professional, respectful and customer-focused service at all times
Requirements
- Qualified Occupational Therapist
- Experience working with assistive technology or home monitoring equipment
- Strong practical and problem-solving skills
- Confident using mobile apps, smart devices and connected technology
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Calm, empathetic and professional approach when working with vulnerable individuals
- Ability to work independently and manage a field-based schedule
- Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle preferred
- Must be available to carry out visits within the South East London boroughs
