We are looking for a caring and dedicated Female Care Assistant to give a high standard of support to people within care home and home care settings. The selected candidate will promote independence and wellbeing of persons they support, and support with daily tasks. This position is a great opportunity to truly make a difference to people’s lives within a supported team atmosphere.

Duties

• Assist clients with personal care needs which includes bathing, dressing and grooming.
• Always Safe: Mobility and Transfer Aids.
• Assist with meal prep and feeding as needed.
• Adhere to personalised care plans to fulfil unique requirements and interests.
• Keep precise records of care given and any changes in condition.
• Work collaboratively with clients, families and team members to provide holistic care.
• If trained and authorised, assist clients with medication reminders.
• Ensure health and safety standards are maintained in all phases of work including infection control measures.

Knowledge and skills

• Valid driver’s license and availability to move smoothly between care locations.
• Desirable to have experience of working in a care facility or delivering home care services.
• Ability to read and follow detailed care plans tailored to individual needs.
• Good written and oral command of English to allow for successful communication.
• Basic IT abilities to maintain accurate records and update care documents.
• Excellent communication abilities to develop trust and connection with clients and coworkers.
• Compassionate nature with a genuine desire to help the disadvantaged.
• Well organised, reliable and can work on own initiative or as part of a team.
