Role Overview
As a Paediatric Occupational Therapist, you’ll work with students aged 5 to 16+ in school environments, conducting assessments, delivering therapy, and training teachers. You’ll be part of a multidisciplinary team including Speech and Language Therapists, Educational Psychologists, and Play Therapists.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide assessments and therapy for children with communication and developmental challenges
- Deliver teacher training and support within school settings
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to enhance student outcomes
- Maintain accurate records and contribute to service development
- Participate in ongoing training and clinical supervision
Required Skills and Experience
- HCPC-approved degree in Occupational Therapy
- HCPC registration (or in process)
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Passion for working with children in educational settings
Preferred
- Experience with paediatric caseloads in schools
- Familiarity with multidisciplinary team environments
