Pharmacy Assistant
This is a full‑time role for 37.5 hours a week. The role holder will be required to cover a flexible shift pattern.
Duties of this role include
- Assist in the preparation and labelling of medicines for inpatients, outpatients, and discharge prescriptions under appropriate supervision.
- Support the safe supply of medicines, ensuring accurate picking, packing, and distribution to wards and departments.
- Monitor stock levels and expiry dates, helping maintain accurate inventory across the pharmacy and clinical areas.
- Receive and check deliveries, ensuring correct storage of medications in line with temperature and security guidelines.
- Assist with the completion of relevant records, prescription tracking, and data entry on pharmacy systems.
- Maintain accurate filing and organisation of documentation related to medicine supply and patient care.
Applicants Should Meet The Following Criteria
- Good general education including literacy and numeracy skills.
- Experience in a customer service, healthcare, or stock‑handling role.
- Good communication and organisational skills.
- Attention to detail and commitment to safe working practices.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team and under supervision.
