Description

The role involves providing high-quality, non-medical care and companionship to older people in their own homes during evening hours. Care Professionals support clients to remain independent while building trusted and meaningful relationships. Visits last a minimum of one hour to ensure personalised care.

Duties

• Provide companionship and engage clients in conversation and activities
• Support clients with attending appointments and social outings
• Carry out light housekeeping tasks, including cleaning and laundry
• Prepare meals and follow good food safety practices
• Assist with personal care, including bathing, dressing and grooming
• Support clients with continence care and daily routines
• Understand and respond appropriately to the needs of clients with dementia or Alzheimer’s
• Ability to communicate clearly and build positive relationships
• Respect for people from different backgrounds and beliefs
• Reliable, organised and an excellent timekeeper
• Good personal hygiene and professional appearance
• Willingness to obtain an Enhanced DBS disclosure
• Access to reliable transport or own vehicle with Class 1 business insurance
