Esland’s Little Owls Home, rated Good by Ofsted, is looking for a Senior Children’s Residential Care Worker to join our passionate, dedicated team. Nestled in a peaceful, quiet residential area, Little Owls is a place where children thrive. Our young people enjoy a wide range of activities and hobbies, including:
- Outdoors & Experiences: Horse riding, museum visits, trips to parks, shopping, and meals out
- Indoors: Baking, gaming, movies, Minecraft, and drama
We provide a safe, nurturing environment where every child is supported to reach their full potential.
What you’ll do
- Deliver high-quality care and emotional support to children, ensuring their safety and wellbeing.
- Inspire brighter futures with consistency, compassion, and resilience.
- Be part of a dedicated team in a 365-day service, with structured rotas and long shifts (7:30 am-11 pm), including sleep-in nights.
What you’ll earn
- Annual salary: £35,129 – £38,554 (based on £13.80-£15.45 + 8 sleep-ins/month; dependent on qualifications) (Pay rate effective from 1st April 2026)
- Opportunity for additional earnings through enhanced overtime and extra shifts.
What you’ll need
- Full UK driving licence
- Must be 21+ and have the right to work in the UK (sponsorship not available)
- Experience in residential childcare
- Have a level 3 qualification in childcare or equivalent
