Assistant Headteacher & SENCo responsibilities
Take on a dual leadership role as Assistant Headteacher with responsibility for SEND. You will help lead the strategic direction of the school while overseeing SEND provision, supporting staff, coordinating interventions and ensuring pupils with additional needs receive effective and well‑planned support across the school.
Location: Tamworth • Salary: £51,771 – £58,969 (L1‑L6) • Tenure: Permanent, September 2026
Qualifications
- Leadership Experience – Proven leadership experience within a school setting.
- SEND Leadership – Strong experience supporting or leading SEND provision and inclusive practice across a school.
- Communication – Clear and confident verbal and written communication with staff, parents, external agencies and wider stakeholders.
- Enhanced DBS – Must hold or be willing to obtain an Enhanced DBS certificate.
- Career Commitment – A strong commitment to leadership, inclusion, pupil progress and the continued success of the school.
