Learning Support Assistant

Salary: from 24,408 (pro-rata, depending on the hours worked)

Employment Type: Full-time or Part-time available, 1-year contract with chances of becoming permanent, Term Time Only

Responsibilities

  • Student Advocacy: Act as a key point of contact for learners, navigating complex profiles with patience to ensure “every small win” is a step toward success.
  • Curriculum Support: Work alongside teaching staff to ensure each learner’s specific package of support is integrated into their daily educational experience.
  • Adaptive Communication: Simplify complex concepts and engage learners who may face significant barriers to education.
  • Inclusive Practice: Maintain a safe, nurturing environment where differences are respected and valued.

Requirements

  • Experience: Proven track record (or a profound desire) to support students with SEND, including ASD, ADHD, or high-needs learning disabilities.
  • Commitment to Excellence: Resilient individuals with a genuine passion for supporting students and a willingness to learn.
