Position Overview

We are recruiting for a skilled Tension Machine Operator (TMO) to manage and operate tensioning equipment in a marine environment. The ideal candidate has experience on pipe laying vessels.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with the project team to coordinate and execute tensioning activities effectively.
  • Keep detailed records of operational activities, maintenance logs, and any incidents for documentation purposes.
  • Operate and oversee the functioning of tensioning machinery in accordance with project specifications and safety guidelines.
  • Adhere strictly to safety protocols, identifying and addressing potential hazards or risks associated with the operation of tensioning machinery.
  • Conduct routine inspections and maintenance of tensioning equipment to ensure optimal performance and troubleshoot any issues that may arise.
  • Monitor and adjust tension levels during various phases of marine operations, ensuring the safe and efficient installation of pipelines or related structures.

Requirements

  • Experience in challenging and innovative marine projects.
  • Proficiency in operating and maintaining tensioning machinery and equipment.
  • Effective communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a team.
  • Understanding of tensioning techniques, equipment calibration, and adherence to safety standards.
  • Knowledge of safety regulations and procedures related to tensioning operations in marine settings.
  • Proven experience as a Tension Machine Operator, preferably in a marine environment or related industry.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude with the ability to conduct routine maintenance and perform minor repairs on machinery.
