About the Role
Contract: Permanent.
Type: Full time.
Pay: £16.27 per hour.
Hours: 39 hours per week (Monday to Thursday: 8:00 AM – 4:45 PM; Friday: 8:00 AM – 3:45 PM).
Location: Mitie, Investment House, 8 East Terrace, Euxton Lane, Chorley, Lancashire, England, PR7 6TE.

Are you a skilled and experienced Joiner looking for a long‑term role with great pay and consistent hours? We’re looking for a dedicated professional to join our Manchester based team, working across a variety of residential and commercial sites in the North West.
Responsibilities
- Measuring, cutting, and assembling wood and other materials to specification
- Installing doors, windows, skirting boards, and other fittings
- Reading and interpreting blueprints, technical drawings, and work plans
- Using and maintaining hand and power tools safely and effectively
- Performing general repairs and replacing damaged woodwork or fixtures
- Erecting access equipment and setting up temporary screening as needed
- Monitoring stock levels and requesting materials in advance
- Keeping your work area clean, tidy, and organised
- Working collaboratively with other trades and site teams to ensure efficient project delivery
- Recording and reporting job details via mobile technology or job sheets
Qualifications
- Proven experience in joinery or carpentry, ideally within maintenance or construction
- NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Carpentry & Joinery (or equivalent trade qualification) preferred
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to work from technical drawings
- Able to work independently and as part of a team
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Basic IT/smartphone skills to log and record job activity
- Full UK driving licence and own tools are advantageous but will be supplied if needed
- A good understanding of health & safety procedures and regulations
