Machine Operator

CSS is recruiting machine operators for a frozen food company based in Boston.

This is a full‑time temp‑to‑perm position.

Shift Pattern

Monday to Friday 8‑hour rotation: 6am‑2pm, 2pm‑10pm, 10pm‑6am. Shifts rotate on a weekly basis.

Pay & Overtime

Pay rate is £14.43 per hour. Overtime is paid after 40 hours at 1.5× the basic rate. Paid break.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will have experience working within a food processing or manufacturing environment, operating high‑speed machinery, HACCP, and food safety knowledge. Training will be provided, but experience with any of the following machines is advantageous: Bosch Bagger, Multipond, Rovena, Newtech or vertical form feed machines – Hayssen, Sandicare, and high‑speed weighing machines – Ishida, Yamato.

Duties

• Ensure that all safety checks and procedures are followed.
• Run and be responsible for packing machines, bagger, and metal detectors.
• Run and control the line(s) while maintaining hygiene standards, checking and completing all quality paperwork.
• Ensure all packs conform to quality standards, including final box presentation.
• Maintain hygiene standards.
• Ensure all quality paperwork is completed on time.
• Complete washdowns within 4 hours.
• Control knives and scissors.
• Achieve production targets and quality standards.
• Perform a suitable handover with the colleague, ensuring the line is not left unattended.
• Complete any other ad‑hoc duties as required from time to time.
