Role Description
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Composite Fitter for a full‑time, on‑site position based in Derby. Responsibilities include preparing, assembling, and finishing composite components to meet high‑quality standards. Duties cover mold preparation, material cutting and fitting, lamination, application of resins, trimming, and inspecting the finished pieces. The role requires consistent collaboration with production teams to ensure adherence to technical specifications and deadlines while maintaining a safe and efficient workspace.
Qualifications
- Proficiency in composite layup techniques, lamination, and trimming
- Experience with hand tools, power tools, and precision cutting
- Knowledge of materials such as pre‑preg fabrics, resins, and core structures
- Attention to detail and ability to adhere to technical drawings and specifications
- Understanding of health and safety practices within a manufacturing environment
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team and independently as required
- Prior experience in industries such as Automotive, Motorsport, or Aerospace is an advantage
- Strong problem‑solving skills, time management, and a commitment to quality
