The Role

This is a hands‑on machining role where you will be responsible for setting and operating CNC machines, ensuring components are produced to drawing specifications, required tolerances, and production deadlines.

This role would suit an experienced CNC Machinist looking to work a permanent day shift within a well‑organised and professional machine shop.

Responsibilities

  • Setting and operating CNC machines
  • Adjusting offsets and making minor program edits
  • Reading and interpreting engineering drawings
  • Producing precision components to tight tolerances
  • Using measuring equipment such as micrometers, verniers and gauges
  • Carrying out first‑off and in‑process inspection
  • Ensuring machines run efficiently and safely
  • Working to production targets and quality standards
  • Maintaining a clean and organised work area

Requirements

  • Previous experience as a CNC Setter / Operator
  • Ability to read engineering drawings
  • Experience using measuring equipment
  • Experience working with materials such as aluminium, stainless steel or mild steel
  • Good attention to detail and quality standards
  • Reliable and good work ethic

Package

  • Salary £28,000 – £36,000 depending on experience
  • Day Shift
  • Training and development opportunities
