Job Description
We are seeking an enthusiastic individual to provide practical and operational support for environmental consultancy projects on commercial, industrial, municipal wastewater and sludge processing projects. You will contribute to a variety of consultancy project types that primarily include flow and load surveys, tracer studies, process commissioning, process optimisation, RCA and troubleshooting.
The role will be primarily field based, but will also include some lab and office based work. Initially the role will require collection and analysis of samples and interpretation of results. Through training and experience on the job, there will be opportunities to progress into an operational, engineering and/or technical role.
Who we are looking for: The ideal candidate will have an interest in providing practical solutions to environmental improvement and enjoys working outdoors. The role is well suited to someone who is keen to gain practical experience of operating ETPs and working within a diverse team on environmental consultancy projects. The candidate must be willing to travel to a range of sites throughout the UK and some projects will involve working away for short periods of time (typically 1–2 weeks). Whichever, the role will be mostly field/lab based, yet opportunities for development will be provided through desk‑based learning, mentoring and on‑the‑job training. A tailored professional development plan will be developed, with routine reviews to track progress and set targets.
