About The Role

We are recruiting for a well-established fencing company specialising in the manufacture and installation of high-quality metal fencing for residential, commercial, and industrial projects. As the production demand increases, we are recruiting a reliable CNC Operator to join the workshop team.

The Role

This role involves operating a CNC drilling machine (Fanuc-controlled) used to accurately measure and drill holes into metal fencing components. The position is straightforward but requires precision, consistency, and attention to detail to ensure all products meet our quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Operating a Fanuc-controlled CNC drilling machine
  • Loading metal sections onto the machine and securing them correctly
  • Running pre-set programs to measure and drill holes accurately
  • Monitoring the machine during operation and making minor adjustments if needed
  • Checking finished parts to ensure accuracy and quality
  • Carrying out basic machine maintenance and cleaning
  • Following health & safety procedures at all times
  • Assisting with general workshop duties when required

Requirements

  • Previous experience operating CNC machinery (Fanuc experience preferred)
  • Ability to read basic technical drawings and measurements
  • Good attention to detail and accuracy
  • Reliable, punctual, and able to work as part of a team
  • Physically fit and comfortable working with metal components

Desirable (but not essential)

  • Experience in metal fabrication or fencing manufacturing
  • Basic understanding of CNC programming/editing
