Location: Workshop-based with site coverage across Essex & surrounding counties

Hours: Full-time, Monday – Friday, 7:30 AM – 5:00 PM

Salary: £35,000 – £39,000 per year (dependent on experience)

Requirements: Own tools required. Full clean UK Driving Licence essential.

About the Role

Are you an experienced Mobile Plant Fitter looking for a role that offers variety, stability, and a well-equipped modern workshop? We are seeking a skilled and self‑motivated Workshop-Based Mobile Plant Fitter to maintain and repair a diverse range of leading‑brand equipment, including JCB, Komatsu, Bomag, Thwaites, Hamm, Powerscreen, John Deere, and Bell.

Key Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic faults on a variety of plant and machinery.
• Carry out PAT testing, PDI inspections, and routine servicing.
• Perform reactive and preventative maintenance, both in the workshop and on-site when required.
• Maintain accurate service records and documentation.
• Adhere to manufacturer guidelines and industry best practices from fault analysis through to completion.

• Lifting Equipment, Hydraulic Attachments & Hand Tools

What We’re Looking For

• Minimum 5 years’ experience in a Mobile Plant Fitter role.
• Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems.
• Expertise in computer diagnostics.
• High level of accuracy and attention to detail – precise documentation is essential.
• A team player who is reliable, flexible, and works well under pressure.
• Self‑motivated with the ability to diagnose and repair efficiently.
