Location: Redbourn, Hertfordshire

Pay: £23-£25 per hour + Overtime

Schedule: Full-Time, Permanent, Day Shift

TEKNIKAL Specialist Recruitment is working with a well-established, family‑run business in Redbourn that is experiencing continued growth. We are now looking to recruit a skilled Heavy Plant Fitter to join their expanding team.

It is an excellent opportunity for a hands‑on engineer with a strong mechanical background to work on a wide range of specialist heavy plant machinery in both workshop and field‑based environments.

Responsibilities

• Carrying out servicing, maintenance, and repairs
• Diagnosing faults across mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems
• Providing breakdown support when required
• Maintaining accurate service records
• Ensuring all work is completed in line with health & safety standards

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Heavy Plant Fitter or Plant Mechanic, with hands‑on expertise working on equipment such as forklifts (FLT), dumper trucks, loading shovels, and excavators.
• Strong fault‑finding skills across mechanical and hydraulic systems
• Knowledge of diesel engines and plant equipment
• Ability to work independently and within a team
• Full UK driving licence (essential)
