Shift Pattern: 4 on / 5 off

Overview: A fantastic opportunity is available for an experienced Mechanical Fitter to join a leading industrial manufacturing business based in Woodville, Derbyshire. The company is continuing to grow and invest heavily into the site with new machinery, equipment upgrades, and ongoing improvement projects.

Key Responsibilities:

• Diagnose faults and carry out repairs on industrial machinery and plant equipment.
• Support continuous improvement activities to minimise downtime and maximise operational efficiency.
• Perform both preventative and reactive maintenance across a variety of industrial machinery and plant equipment.
• Work independently and within a team in a fast‑paced production environment.

Key Requirements:

• Previous mechanical maintenance experience within a manufacturing or industrial environment.
• Strong background in reactive maintenance and planned preventative maintenance (PPM).
• Experience working in a fast‑paced production environment.
• Ability to work independently and within a team.

Essential Skills & Experience:

• Mechanical fault‑finding and repair experience.
• Recognised mechanical engineering qualification.
• Experience working on industrial machinery and equipment.
• Good understanding of health & safety practices within manufacturing.
• Strong communication and problem‑solving skills.

Desirable Experience:

• Experience with conveyors, pumps, bearings, gearboxes, and hydraulic systems.
• Welding or fabrication skills.
• Previous experience as a Mechanical Fitter or Maintenance Engineer within the UK.
• Knowledge of automated production equipment.
