CNC/Manual Turner Role
Location: Coventry
Salary: £35,000 per annum
Job Duties
- Setting and operating an XYZ SLX425 x 1.25m Proturn Lathe & a Colchester Mastiff VS1800
- Programming online for CNCs
- Small batch work (20 off’s max)
- Reading and interpreting engineering drawings
- Using surface grinders, offhand grinders, band saw, tub grinders, reciprocating saw, diamond lap as required
- Producing components to drawing tolerances
- Inspecting components as required using available inspection facilities
- Preparing reports on occasion for specific customers
- Deburring and demagnetizing parts for build
- Preparing raw material as required (cutting to length, etc.)
- Identifying tooling requirements for production and procuring tooling with production engineering
- Identifying potential productivity improvements and liaising with production engineering to implement them
- Cleaning down machines daily
Job Requirements
- Engineering apprenticeship or time served required
- CNC and manual experience preferred
- Tool room experience preferred
Salary & Shift
- £35,000 per annum
- Monday to Thursday: 7:30am – 4:30pm
- Friday: 7:30am – 12:30pm
