Plumber – York
Salary: £30,000 – £36,000 per year with weekend allowance, plus structured hours, long-term stability and clear progression.
We’re recruiting for a Plumber to join a well‑established facilities team in York, working within a secure prison environment. This role offers a stable, long‑term position with structured working patterns and ongoing development.

Key Responsibilities
- Carrying out routine and reactive plumbing maintenance
- Repairing and maintaining mains water systems
- Fault finding and identifying equipment issues
- Inspecting systems and conducting water sampling
- Completing risk assessments and compliance checks
- Supporting general maintenance tasks as required
What we’re looking for
- NVQ Level 2 in plumbing and heating
- Experience in plumbing maintenance within a commercial setting
- Knowledge of plumbing and heating systems and fault finding
- Legionella awareness (desirable)
- Experience operating light plant equipment
- Full UK driving licence
