Overview

Tallis Amos, a leading machinery dealership, is offering a John Deere apprenticeship focusing on turf technology. The 3‑year course leads to a John Deere Diploma, equivalent to NVQ/A Level, with structured prospects for future career development.

Training and Responsibilities

• Learn mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic and electrical systems on John Deere equipment.
• Participate in the Turf Tech program, focusing on sports turf machinery.
• Attend the John Deere UK training centre in Saxondale, Nottinghamshire each year for theory lessons.
• Work closely with a senior engineer mentor, applying knowledge on the shop floor.
• Complete structured on‑the‑job learning and assessment through ProVQ.

Entry Requirements

• Grade 4/C or above in Maths and English.
• Pass a mechanical aptitude test.
• Register with the Apprenticeship Finder website.
