Training and Responsibilities
- Learn mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic and electrical systems on John Deere equipment.
- Participate in the Turf Tech program, focusing on sports turf machinery.
- Attend the John Deere UK training centre in Saxondale, Nottinghamshire each year for theory lessons.
- Work closely with a senior engineer mentor, applying knowledge on the shop floor.
- Complete structured on‑the‑job learning and assessment through ProVQ.
Entry Requirements
- Grade 4/C or above in Maths and English.
- Pass a mechanical aptitude test.
- Register with the Apprenticeship Finder website.
