CNC Machining Programmer / Setter

About the Company:

Our Client is a Letchworth based company specialising in Prototypes & Low Volume Production Sheet Metal Pressings, Stampings and Fabrication to the Highest Quality, working in many different sectors. Customers include Ford motors, Lockheed Martin, Warner brothers and McLaren.

ROLE:

• Working with the team to program Doosan Machining centres
• Responsible for setting up the machines, performing first off checks to confirm quality.
• The majority of the jobs produced are one off press tools for our in-house stamping team
• Run the Cutter paths to get the optimal times and cuts using the high end tooling purchased.
• Liaise with manufacturing and suppliers to ensure on time delivery.

Requirements:

• Knowledge of CNC milling is essential
• The role requires manual lifting
• Actively seek opportunities for Continuous Improvement.
• Knowledge of a cad package would be an advantage.
• Knowledge of Delcam or Space claim software would be an advantage, (training will be given to the right applicant)
• The ability to read and work from engineering drawings.
