Mechanical Assembler – Training & Progression

T&K Associates are currently recruiting for a Mechanical Assembler to join our client based in Ashby-de-la-Zouch on a temporary to permanent basis.

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone to join a friendly company that has expanded over the years. Previous Mechanical Assembly experience isn​t required as the Company can offer full training, however the successful candidate must have some assembly experience.

Job Details & Benefits

• Monday – Friday, 6am-2pm or 8am-4pm
• £12.71 per hour
• 28 days holiday to start including bank holidays, increasing with length of service to a maximum of 33 days including bank holidays

Main Duties

• Mechanical assembly of enclosures and assemblies
• Using hand tools including screwdrivers, torque screwdrivers, and torque wrenches
• Applying Loctite and other assembly materials correctly
• Following assembly instructions and build documentation
• Ensuring products are assembled carefully without scratches, dents, or cosmetic damage
• Carrying out visual checks throughout assembly
• Maintaining a clean and organised work area
• Supporting continuous improvement within the department
• Following company quality procedures and health & safety requirements

Person Specification

• Must have previous assembly experience
• Basic experience using hand tools
• Good attention to detail
• Careful and methodical approach to work
• Ability to follow instructions accurately
• Good manual dexterity and a steady hand
• Reliable and punctual
• Positive attitude and willingness to learn
