Carpenter / Roofing Carpenter Required!

RecruitEasy are looking for an experienced Carpenter / Roofing Carpenter to work for our client based in Lynmouth, Devon.

Duration: Long-Term, Start Date: 13-05-2026, Pay Rate: £18.00 – £24.00 per hour, paid weekly. Pay rate depends on experience and/or tickets. We do not use umbrella companies to process your pay.

Job Roles

• Roofing carpentry works on a large manor house renovation
• Making the roof watertight, including repairs and timber renewals
• Installing and repairing rafters, joists and structural roof components
• Working safely at height on a large roof structure
• Moving onto internal works once roofing is complete
• Completing 1st fix carpentry including framing and studwork
• Completing 2nd fix carpentry including doors, skirting and finishing
• Working independently while maintaining a high standard of workmanship

Requirements

• Minimum of 5 years carpentry experience
• Strong background in roofing carpentry
• Confident working on large roof structures
• Ability to carry out repairs and renewals to a high standard
• Experience with 1st and 2nd fix carpentry
• Able to work independently and as part of a team
